The city by the beautiful Lake of Ohrid was a one week podium for young innovators and entrepreneurs from 3 continents who joined the TC event from 4-9 November to learn, explore, grow and exchange experiences with peers and professionals. 21 total participants were part of this event.
mPreneur: Youth Mobile Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Future project for third time brought together young talents from, Kenya, Macedonia, Austria, Singapore, Tanzania, Uganda, Philippines, to come up with mobile app solutions that are making an impact and make positive changes in the communities.
The training course in Ohrid gathered the winners from the National Camps that were organized in each partner country, as first stage of the mPrenuer competition, and then their journey continued in Ohrid for training delivered by university professors, where additionally they had a chance to meet the Jury members who evaluated their mobile apps and selected the winner as a second stage of te project. All 16 teams will travel in Graz, Austria where the winners will be announced on Gala event at the WSA, as a final third stage of the project comeptition.
During the 5 working days on the Training Course Social mPreneur School: mLearning, Techpreneurship, and Sustainable Impact-making for young aspiring entrepreneurs – (Intercontinental Camp) the participants learned more about the topics of Sustainable development goals, Sustainable leadership, Social business modeling & Business model canvas, New technology for innovative social mobile entrepreneurship.
They also had few workshops on the topics of how we can combine Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, big data, open data, e-ethics and social awareness for impact-making. Additionally, a session for how to master their pitch presentations and how to create videos for best promotion of their products was delivered. The last day was reserved for pitching, a day where each participant presented in front of the Jury members their mobile app solution with social impact.
